Museum of Natural History

rain 8 °C

Today it poured rain so we, along with what seemed like every other tourist and half of New York took shelter in the Museum of Natural History (think of the movie Night at the Museum). The museum houses some really cool displays of animals, artifacts from Ancient civilizations around the world and a whole level dedicated to dinosaurs.

After coming home to dry off for a while, we went to our local restaurant Cognac since it is on the next block and we didn't fancy getting our second set of clothes wet for the day. We have eaten there twice now, and both times were very good, and quite reasonably priced. Whether it was the cold rain outside, or simply because of the name of the restaurant, I decided to try my first cognac (an American one recommended by the locals and Andrew after he tried it on our first visit), and decided I could quite easily develop a taste for a good cognac....hhmmmm duty free shopping awaits on my arrival home!

A day and a half left in New York, another museum tomorrow and what ever else we can fit in around it.
